n8n Workflow Templates

4.5/52dm rating

A large template library with many AI flows usable right away.

A library of ready-made n8n workflows for AI, sales, marketing and operations, helping businesses start automating quickly instead of building from scratch.

Overview

n8n Workflow Templates is a repository of automation workflow templates contributed by the n8n team and the community. The library is divided into categories such as AI, Sales, IT Ops, Marketing, Document Ops and Support, and can be browsed by the tools you use, such as Google Sheets, Gmail, Telegram, Slack, Notion, OpenAI or Postgres.

Each template is a complete workflow of pre-connected nodes. When you bring it into your own n8n account, you still need to attach your own credentials and adjust the configuration, such as spreadsheet IDs, email addresses and prompts, to fit your business's data.

For small businesses, this is the fastest way to learn how others solve automation problems: open a template, read each node, run it with dummy data, and only then apply it to real work. Self-hosted n8n can even point to a separate internal template library.

Highlights

01

Categorized by business function

Templates are arranged into AI, sales, marketing, IT operations, document processing and customer care, so it is easy to find the right problem.

02

Browse by tool

Filter by the apps you use, such as Google Sheets, Gmail, Telegram, Slack, Notion or OpenAI, to find templates that match your system.

03

Many AI Agent templates

The library has a dedicated AI category with workflows using language models, chatbots, summarization and data classification.

04

Community contributions

Besides the n8n team, many people create templates, including verified creators, so the sources of ideas are very diverse.

05

Internal library for self-hosting

Self-hosted installs can configure environment variables to use the company's own template repository instead of the public one.

What it's for

Collecting leads into Google Sheets

Sales teams take a template that receives data from a form or webhook, writes it to a spreadsheet, then notifies the person in charge via Telegram.

Customer reply chatbot

The customer-care team uses an AI template to answer frequently asked questions and hand difficult cases to real staff.

Content automation

The marketing team references templates that draft posts, schedule publishing and save drafts to Notion or Google Drive.

Processing invoices and documents

The accounting team uses a template that reads email attachments, extracts information and puts it into a tracking sheet.

Operations alerts

The IT team uses a template that monitors errors or service status and sends alerts to an internal chat channel.

How to use it

  1. 1

    Find a suitable template

Go to the n8n Workflow Templates page, choose a business category or an app you use, and read each template's description and node diagram.

  2. 2

    Bring the template into n8n

In n8n, when creating a new workflow choose to start from a template or click the Templates icon; follow the on-screen instructions to add it to your account.

  3. 3

    Attach your credentials

Open each node that needs a connection (Google, Telegram, OpenAI...) and choose or create your own credentials; the template comes with nobody's accounts.

  4. 4

Adjust the configuration for your business

Replace spreadsheet IDs, recipient emails, prompts and data field names to match your actual process.

  5. 5

    Test with dummy data

Execute the workflow manually and watch the data pass through each node to make sure every step is right before using real data.

  6. 6

    Activate and monitor

When it is stable, turn on the workflow, give it a clear name and check the run history during the first few days.

Real-world example

Illustrative scenario

An online cosmetics store receives orders and questions from many channels, and staff often have to copy them into Google Sheets by hand. The owner finds in the n8n library a template that receives data via webhook, writes it to a spreadsheet and sends a Telegram notification. After attaching the store's Google and Telegram accounts, renaming the columns to match the existing sheet and testing with a few dummy orders, the store activates the workflow so each new order goes into the sheet automatically and the person in charge gets notified right on their phone.

Tips & notes

  • Read each node carefully before running

Community templates may send data to outside services; check the HTTP Request nodes, webhooks and code snippets to see where data goes.

  • Don't paste API keys into text nodes

Always store keys in n8n's credentials section for easier management and to avoid leaks when sharing workflows.

  • Prefer simple templates

Start with templates with few nodes, understand them, then add more steps; the more complex a template, the harder it is to fix when something breaks.

  • Watch API costs

Templates using AI or paid services incur per-call costs, so set limits and monitor them early on.

FAQ

Does a template run right after adding it?

Usually not. You need to attach your credentials and adjust the configuration, then test run before activating.

Can I use templates on self-hosted n8n?

Yes. Self-hosted installs can still use the template library, and can even be configured to point to the company's internal template repository.

Are community templates safe?

Nothing is absolutely guaranteed. Review each node yourself, especially steps that send data outside, and try with dummy data first.

Can English-only templates be used for Vietnamese?

Yes. You just change the message content, prompts and field names to Vietnamese; the workflow structure stays the same.
